TANGY CHEESE SCROLLS
Preheat your oven to 180 deg C.
Line an oven tray with baking paper.
Place 3 cups of self raising flour and using your fingers rub in 30 gm of marg / butter.
Now add 1 cup of milk , using a bread knife and mix to form a soft dough.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface.
Knead until smooth.
Shape the dough gently into a rectangle about 35 cm x 25 cm.
Spread the dough with tomato paste, top with 125 gm of chopped ham, 2 tbs of fresh chopped chives, 1 tbs of fresh chopped parsley, 1 tsp of dried oregano and finally 1/2 cup of grated tasty cheese.
Roll up the coated pastry, from the long side.
Cut into 3 cm slices and place side by side on the prepared tray, spray cooking oil over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Remove from pan and cool on a wire rack.
* If you added sliced capsicums and chopped salami to the filling, you would have prepared what is known as Stromboli.
