CHEESE AND HERB TWIST
Preheat your oven to 200deg C .
Mix together in a large bowl 470gm of wholemeal bread flour , 1 and 1/2 tsp of salt and 10 gm of instant dry yeast .
Add 340 ml of lukewarm water and 45 ml (3 tbs ) of canola oil / rice bran oil .
Mix to a soft dough .
Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes , until smooth and elastic .
Place the dough in an oiled bowl , cover and rest for 20 minutes .
Now knock down the dough and shape into a rectangle 30cm x 35cm ( 12" x 14" ).
Sprinkle 250gm of grated cheese over the dough along with 1 tbs of chopped fresh herbs and 1 dsp of dried mixed herbs and 1 tbs of minced garlic .
Roll up the dough from the short side .
Hold ends of the roll and twist in opposite directions .
Place on a greased baking tray .
Slash six times across the top and allow to rise for 40 minutes .
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes .
It is aromatic to bake and absolutely delicious .
