SUGAR .....HOW MUCH?

Up until the 1950's the majority of sugar was used at home in baking, preserving fruit, making jam and table use for tea and coffee. Now today 75% of the sugar we eat is from foods prepared outside of our homes. The majority of the sugar we consume today is in the drinks we consume; in the form of packaged juices, soft drinks and cordials. Overall our sugar consumption has changed little over the decades, we just consume sugar in different ways.
