CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Ingredients .....175gm of plain flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, 125gm of softened margarine,
85 gm of muscovado sugar, 55gm of castor sugar, 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, 1 egg lightly beaten,125gm of choc chips.
It was the best day to make cookies, it was cold, raining and very wintry.
Preheat your oven to 180 deg C.
Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat until well combined.
Roll tbs of the mixture into balls and place 6 balls on baking paper lined trays , spacing them to allow for spreading.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until cookies are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes and the carefully transfer to a wire rack to cool completely and then repeat the cooking process with the remaining dough.
Store in an airtight container.
I also made salted caramel chip cookies.
Using the same recipe but replacing the choc chips with salted caramel chips ...
The kitchen is warm and filling the house with baking aromas .
