CHICKEN ADOBO

Ingredients.....4 onions peeled and sliced, 4 tbs of minced garlic, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 dsp of cracked black pepper, 1.5 kg of skinless chicken thighs, 125 ml of apple cider vinegar, 125ml of soy sauce, 3 tbs of honey, 4 cups of steamed rice to serve. Spray your slow cooker with canola oil and spread half the sliced oinons over the base of the slow cooker. Add 2 tbs of the minced garlic, 2 cinnamon sticks and the cracked black pepper. Now add the chicken thighs in a single layer over the top of the onion mix. Finish off with the remaining onions and minced garlic. Drizzle the vinegar and soy sauce over the chicken and finish with drizzling the honey over. Cover and cook on a high heat for 4 hours. Steam the rice and divide between the serving plates , top with the chicken and spoon the juices from the slow cooker over top and serve .
