APPLE CRUMBLE

Ingredients......4 green apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced, 1 dsp of grated lemon rind, 90gm of sultanas, 2tbs of demerara sugar. Crumble Topping.....90gm of plain flour, 1 tsp of ground cinnamon, 2 tbs of demerara sugar, 60gm of butter/ marg, 30gm of granulated nuts. Preheat your oven to 180 deg C. Lightly grease an ovenproof dish (23cm). Combine the sliced apples, lemon rind, sultanas and sugar in a large bowl. Place the apple mixture in the ovenproof dish. Now for the topping, place the flour, cinnamon, sugar and butter/ marg in your food processor. Process until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Stir through the granulated nuts. Sprinkjle the topping mixture over the apples. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven or until the apples are tender and the crumble topping is golden.
