SPANISH HONEY PUDDING

This is a very early Spanish version of bread and butter pudding . Preheat your oven to 160 deg C. You will need 8 slices of bread, crusts removed and cut into 5cm (2") squares . Soak the squares in 1 and 1/4 cups of milk . Beat 2 eggs until well beaten . Dip the bread squares into the beaten eggs and fry them in 175 gm of melted butter/ marg , until golden . Now place the fried bread pieces into an ovenproof dish and drizzle over a mixture of 6 tbs of hot water with 6 tbs of runny honey . Place in your preheated oven and cook for about 30 minutes or until golden brown . Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey ...
