THE MOST ANNOYING COOKBOOK I OWN !

It`s titled ` FOOD ENCYCLOPEDIA  everything you need to know about every food `...with that claim I couldn't not but buy it .
The book was published in 2005 and the author Peter Russell Clarke  was the ambassador for dairy produce Australia and from memory hosted a daily 5 minute segment on ABC  TV .
The book is so annoying !!!!!
For example check out his definition of carving , a whole half page dedicated to Dumas but it is not till the last  6 lines we get a description of carving of sorts .
But his recipe for chicken liver pate is an absolute treat .
Don't bother looking up Savarin .....his definition ` a cousin to baba `
Then he gives the absolute best description and definition of broccoli and a recipe for wild duck roast that really works.
In between a lot of dribble and some really good recipes the book is really frustrating .
Let`s end with his definitions under X in his food encyclopedia...
XERES.....A great name for scrabble players and sherry drinkers.......
XANTHOSOMA SAGITTIFOLIUM.......Closely related to toro , so we turn to T and  there`s no reference to toro
