MEMORIES OF RECIPES PAST

My youngest son Dale messaged me last week about the care of duck eggs ... The mention of duck eggs triggered a memory / recipe for me .... I have shelves of my hand written recipes mostly filed in manila folders but in the beginning of my obsession I wrote up successful reipes in recipe journals . I found the recipe with duck eggs that was a favourite for both Dale and I . The recipe was soft poached eggs with potatoes , mushrooms and black pudding . I also come upon recipes from my second son Shaun from his year 9 cooking class , Bami . Paul my middle son and his hand written recipe of guiness pies . Recipes like food never date or age ... Family and food go hand in hand .
