MARROW SOUP

Place 2 kgs of cut shin bone with meat on , ( you will need to order this from your butcher )in  a slow cooker  with 2 peeled and sliced onions , 1 and 1/2tsp of salt and 3 litres of water ......
When the meat is tender (Iwould suggest using a slow cooker for 3 hours on high .).Then remove the bones .....pick the meat from the bone and set aside
Remove the marrow from the bone and place the marrow back in  the stock
Add 1 peeled and sliced onion to the stock.
1 large potato washed and sliced ,
1 x 800 gm tin of diced tomatoes
4 carrots diced
2 stalks of celery diced .
Turn the slow cooker to high and simmer for 2 hours ..
Then remove and process to a puree .
Season with cracked black pepper .
Add the reserved meat from the bone ...
To thicken add 1/2cup of teff and1/2cup of chia seeds.
Simmer till thickened .
