BEER BASIL BREAD (ORIGIN GERMANY)
I love mixing ingredients and creating tasty dishes, but I also love preparing easy bread/ breads, which can accompany a main meal or be eaten as a treat.
Preheat your oven to 160 deg C.
Mix together 375 gm of self raising with 60 gm of castor sugar, 6 tbs of chopped basil, 1 tbs of cracked black pepper and 1 and 1/2 cups of beer ( at room temperature ).
Mix to make a soft dough.
Place the dough in a greased and baking paper lined 11x 21 cm loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes in the preheated oven or until when tested with a skewer , the skewer comes out clean .
Stand the bread in the pan for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool .
Serve warm or cold .
