GOLDEN SYRUP PUDDING

Finely grate the lemon  peel of 1 lemon
In a bowl mix together 250gm breadcrumbs
125 gm of all purpose flour sifted with 1 tsp of baking powder
60gm of dark brown sugar
125gm of shredded suet
Add the lemon rind and the juice of the lemon.


Beat 2 eggs and add them to the mixture
Add 2 tbs of golden syrup
150 ml of milk


Evenly stir the mixture .


Place the batter in a well buttered basin and seal with lid , otherwise use  baking paper that has a large pleat in the middle , tie it securely to the basin.
Steam in a larger pot for 2.5 hours .
Serve with extra golden syrup that has been heated with half its quantity of water.
