MEASUREMENTS IN COOKING

Measurements in cooking are so important that they are correct , it is so simple but so often overlooked ... in cooking near enough is not good enough . DRY INGREDIENTS ......Your graduated set of measuring cups includes 1/4 , 1/3 , 1/2 and 1 cup . The spoons come in 1 tbs, 1 dsp , 1 tsp , 1/2 tsp , 1/4 tsp . In measuring dry ingredients ( flour , icing sugar , etc ) heap the cup or spoon and level off with a knife . LIQUID MEASURES ....the metric measure cup shows 1 cup , 3/4 cup , 2/3 cup , 1/2 cup , 1/8 cup and 1/4 cup measures and its metric equivalents . The litre jug has a similar break down from 1 litre to 1/4 litre and also shows graduations in millilitres (1000 millilitres = 4 cups = 1 litre ... STICK TO THE MEASUREMENTS !!!
