Ever run out of cream ?
It is so annoying , so here is another tip I got from the Ministry Of Food 1945 .
Mix 1 tbs of cornflour with 120 ml of milk in a small saucepan over a low heat , stir continuously until it forms a paste .
Set aside and allow to cool .
Blend 2 tbs of butter/marg with 2 tbs of sugar to make a fluffy mass , then gradually add the milk and cornflour mix , whisking continuously .
the result will be a thick cream .
Vary the thickness by using more or less cornflour .
