This is an Italian cabbage dish , I love cabbage and its poor relative the cauliflower.
This simple pan made dish can elevate grilled meat to a new level or get adventurous with kransky as a main or in a roll with grated cheese .
In a large pan sauté , peel and thinly slice 3 onions in 3 tbs of rice bran oil with 3 tbs of minced garlic
Cook and stir until the onion is tender .
Add 1 tin of diced tomatoes (400gm ), stir to mix
Add the prepared sliced Savoy cabbage .
Tsp of salt
1 tbs of cracked pepper
3 tbs of red wine vinegar .
Cover the pan and simmer for 10 minutes over a low heat
Finally add 2 tbs of castor sugar or a sugar alternative .
Simmer for a further 5 minutes
Serve and enjoy .
