I shared the ultimate dining experience with my son Paul Mersey at Lume restaurant , South Melbourne .
The interior is bright and welcoming , the staff were friendly and efficient .

Preserve pine mushroom and chestnut tart
Pearl on the ocean floor
Nakazuke broccoli and lemon myrtle, local calamari gravy and finger lime
Artichoke sourdough with smoked eel butter and sour corn honey
Aged duck smoked over melaleuca radicchio, togarashi pepper and blood lime
Ice cold fermented passionfruit , rhubarb and Geraldton wax
Olive oil and mandarin peel ice cream with fennel and absinthe
A simple piece of vanilla
The menu was interesting , experimental and easily enjoyed , it was delicious .
